Archiving - Performance

Hi Friends,

We had Archived FI data for year 2005 for a table

When we run the select query for that table for year 2005 , it is taking lot of time , around 60,000 secs

When we run for 2006,2007 and 2008 , select query is completed within 120 secs

I would like to know if write select query on table which is archived for an year, will it effect any performance?

Thanks

Chandra

    Hi

Check the where condition of the SELECT statement.

Also check the table for no of entries for each year.
