Multiple components for archived documents in ArchiveLink version 0031

Dear experts,

I am currently working with an archiving system based on ArchiveLink version 0031. In this system, the archived documents (PDF) are stored somehow "directly" in the archived document, i.e., when I call ARCHIVOBJECT_STATUS, I see no components. However, I can access the stored file using ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_TABLE with COMPID set empty.

My question is now: Is it possible to create archived documents with multiple components in ArchiveLink version 0031? I know that this is possible with ArchiveLink version 0045. However, I was not able to create a component using ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_TABLE in version 0031.

I am happy with any hint regarding this topic!

With best regards,

Michael.

Hi,

Can you please help me by providing some idea on How to attach a document stored in Archive link to a notification mail?

In my case invoice images are residing in an external system ( Filenet server) we are using Archive Link feature to link these images to invoice level at SAP using barcode assignment method of Archivelink. We are able to see the images attached to the invoices in a web browser, now the customer wants to attach these images to a notification mail. Can you please tell me how I can achieve this?

Hi Ratheesh,

I do not know much about sending e-mails in SAP (probably using system commands in UNIX?). What you can do, however, is to download the images to files and attach them to your notification e-mail. If you want to follow this path, looking at the FM SCMS_AO_COPY maybe helpful for you...

Hope this helps,

Michael.
