SCM 5.1 system copy

Hi all,

I am about to perform a system copy of an SCM 5.1 system.

version : SCM 5.1

Database: Oracle 10.2

OS: SUSE LINUX 10.1

This is homogeneous system copy.

I need few suggestion like what are pre-requisites to be done for Livecache in this case.

My Livecache version is 7.6.00.29

Please guide me through any notes/Guides for the same.

Also let me know the other pre-requisites to be done for SCM system copy.

Hi Chandru,

For the system copy of SCM please follow the note : 886103

for backup and of the live cache use DBMGUI and to restore the Livecache follow the steps as per note 457425.

while restoring the Live cache backup first we need to create a new database and we need to recover the database with the live cache backup medium of source system.
