Hello,
I created a miniSAP system based on openSuse Leap (SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial 7.51). It is a 50GB virtual machine. Because setting up and installing such a VM is quite complex and complicated, I want to copy my own VM for an friend and pass it to him. Does SAP tolerate the passing on of such a VM or does this constitute a sanctioned license violation?
Best regards
I'm not SAP so please use my answer with care: if you copy you VM just before you have installed the new license, this should be okay because your friend has to request and install his own license.
Edit: and if you want to simplify your installation, you can try to use the Docker installation by pars.man -> Installing SAP NW ABAP into Docker -> worked perfect for me

I agree with Uwe. Another thing to consider is that prior to downloading the nw abap trial edtion you have to create a free account (or use an existing one) and additionally you are asked a few things before you can proceed with the actual download. Passin VMs to others would allow to skip the process I just mentioned...
Hi Andreas, Have you considered using Docker?

Would that help?
