Physical inventory document

Hi,

After creating the physical inventory document in MI01, While entering the cycle count quantity in the MI04, out of 10 line items, I have the difference between the book quantity and the cycle quantity in one item only.

The client requirement is that they are comfortable to enter the difference quantity. Can I leave the line items if there is no difference in the quantity and post the document in MI07?

go to mi02 and maerk those item delete.

Hi

You cannot leave the line item blank if the quanity is same i.e. there is no differnece. You must enter the count result for that specific material.

Set count zero is used when the quantity of the material is zero.

If there is no difference in book quantity and count in stores then you can check it as zero count and post instead of deleting. If the requirement is to count every item every month then setting zero count is best option instead of deleting. You can track the physical count details in future if you enter zero count.

if your book qty is 100

count qty is 100 and if u set the zero count in pi doc. the system will make inventory zero

so pls correct ur ans ...

how can you know that you have a difference if you have not entered the quantity for all items?

In case the quantity for all other items is zero, then you can by one click to enter zero count to all items that have not yet a count .

if you have counted, then you should enter the count, even you have no difference, because this entering documents that you have performed the count.

fi you leave those item blank then the PI document will still remain open for them so better you mention the count there and close the document by posting it

and may be zero count thing can help you out please check that
