Over Goods Issue to a Production Order

Hello Experts,

Here is my scenario

I have a production order for 100 Pc. The Component "A" requirement is 100 PC.

I do a goods issue of 100 Pc of components. Now due to excess consumption of components, I want to issue another 50 PC. Is there any config that will allow this "Over Issue" of components?

Kindly advice.

Jack,

You can do an unplanned Goods Issue in T code : MB1A. That means you consume material without referance to a Reservation.

As you know component reservation is created by system when Prod order is created. This is a then a planned Goods issue. Since you want to consume material more than planned you do it without referance to the reservation.

Hi Do you know each time you will have to issue excess 50 EA. Why the config is required for this. Can't this be done through normal goods issue process.

The addition consumption will be just like the unplanned consumption against the PO.

Go to Item Detail in BOM , and add Component/Operation Scrap according to your need

Hi,

One other way also for avoiding Over Goods Issue is to use Backflush which you can maintain in Material Master / Routing / Production Order which will ensure automatic GI alongwith FInal Confirmation in CO15 provided you are doing Final Confirmation only.

It will help you do GI of required quantity automatically at the time of Final Confirmation.

However, It will not help you if you are doing Time Ticket Confirmation.

Try above in case you are using Final Confirmation only.

Hi TOM,

In std. SAP there is no such restriction.You can do it.

You can do it via 2 ways.

- By updating Component qty or adding one more line item in Component screen.This will update the reservation also and call as planned issue.

- Do goods issue with reference to Order through MB1A,MIGO,MB26 or during confirmation also.But in this case it will call as unplanned GI.

Hi,

Using the MB1A transaction, against that particular production order, you can issue "N" no of qty, there is no restriction in SAP for issuing the excess goods.

Settings:

Tcode: OPK4

For the given order type and plant, maintain "OVERDELIVERY TOLERANCE IS NOT CHECKED"

under OVERDELIVERY field (under CHECKS tab)

Systems will allow you to post overdelivery

Hello Eshwar,

I am not concerned about "Over delivery" of the FG; I am concerned about the "Over Issue" of the ROH to the production order.
