Is there any way in ECC to search for a BP using Customer and / or Vendor number?

Dear Gurus,

We are performing the conversion of many customers and vendors to BPs in ECC 6.0.

Our users would like the possibility to search business partners from transaction BP using the Customer number or the Vendor number.

I am aware that we have dedicated transaction MDS_LINKS, but I was looking for a standard solution to include the functionality in transaction BP.

is there any specific search help that we could use?
