Info package error by loading

Former Member

Hi,

when I run an info package on quality system, a popup comes waring that one of data targets does not exist. This is right I had deleted one of the trgets before. But somewhere the system has still the information that this (not existing) data target has to be included in loading process.

What I did:

1- I created this object in development system and trasnported to QA --> restored the original situation --> no errors; it works fine

2- Delete this object (data target) again and transported it to QA system --> the error appers again.

If somebody know the solution, please help! Do you know in which table I can look which data arget for which info package has been entered?

Many thanks

Aban

I implemented following steps and it resoved the problem:

1- re-created the error objects (data targets) and the update rules (which were not loadable)

2- transported them to QA system

3- Deleted update rules & the data targets and transported them to QA system --> the problem could be resolved.

What was the cause?: Apparently someone deleted the data targets but not explicitly the update rules. These update rules were still assigned to info source and by traing to execute the info packages it was refering to update rules and missing data targets.

Tank you all for your engagement!

Hi,

I guess the update rules for the deleted data target were created using the info-source which still exists. In case you dont need the info-source you can delete it and retry creating the info-package.

Dinesh,

what do you mean by FIND tab? Where this tab should be? AWB?

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately re-creating the object and deleting it will not work as, clearly, the technical name is not the only key for the objects.

Have you checked the Data Targets tab of the Info Package? Maybe the deleted target is still there...

Another idea would be to delete the info package in dev and transport the change. Then create another IP and transport it again to the quality system.

Kind regards,

Hi Andreea,

only the exisiting data target appears in data target tab of info package (an not the delted one). I also created data package again; still the same error.

Do you know in which table the assignment info package to data target exists? Maybe it helps to check it and delete the old entry if it is still there

Many thanks for your help

Hi,

Try to create a new infopackage which is similar and check if the problem still persists.

Thanks

Hi Aban,

Sorry, I can't help you with a table name, I don't have a system available but maybe a asearch through the forum will help.

Are you on BI 7.0? If yes maybe you should try to load first the psa and then manually load the data targets. Wo knows, maybe it gives you a hint...

Uh, 3.5...

Have you tried a search on sdn with the exact text of the warning or the message number? sometimes it helps...

Thank you Andreea, this was a very good hint. I serached in goolge and found this:

I executed SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN

In the subsequent screen, enter the following

IPAK_WARNINGS_AT_ACCESS_OFF (for OBJECT)

X ( value)

Select radio button INSERT

This will disable ALL such warnings.
