material grp changes in info record

Hi

i had changed the material grp in existing info record..but when i run the ME14 tnx it is not showing the changes new value & old value..

It is showing only old vale.. and new value is shwoing as blank

why so.. please explain

Hi

The value of material group in info record will flow from material master record. If you have to change the material group in info record, you will have to change the material group in material master record. Snice the value is flowing from material master record, you cannot see the changes to material group in ME14.

Hi,

You had better check the material group changed at which level?

• Client level

• Purchasing organization level

• Or Plant level

Then select the correct organization level with ME14.

Change material group in material master, not in inforecord.(I mean you can't change material group in inforecord). Please check.

Hi

You cannot change material group in an info record if it is created with vendor and materail, as it is getting picked up from material master.

And if you created info record for vendor and material group combination, then you cannot change material group as it is reference for info record (becomes master data characteristic for that info record).

Could you let me know if you changed vendor material group? That you can check in Me14 in general data changes.
