Purchasing Group deletion

Dear Gurus,

I need advice on deleting Purchasing Group. Currently are many PRs and POs created by say Purchasing group C01, Now i dont want to use this and want to delete this C01. Do this have any effect on open PRs and Open PO's and also close PR & PO??

Deletion of purchase group is not advisable as it will affect the reports for already created documents .

and also if your release strategies are based on purchase groups they also get effected..

It is better to change the Description of unwanted Purchase groups to " DO NOT USE"

until and unless u doesnot change the documents,it will show the code with out any description.but u will be unable to access any report using that purchasing group.
