How are you displaying the PDF - are you using the interactiveForm UI element? What SP level are you on? There are several OSS notes about interactiveForm UI element not working properly in Firefox.

I was asking about the Support Package level of the SAP_BASIS software component. This will tell you the level that Web Dynpro ABAP is at. There are many OSS notes related to the InteractiveForms UI element in Firefox and in fact Firefox support for this UI element wasn't even added until later support packages. It seems likely given the error situation that your SP level is too old for Firefox support, but I can't confirm that without knowing the SP level.
