Fiscal year 2007 open in 2009

IN one of our systems the Fiscal year 2007 is open all through out 2008. Now that its 2009 and when they try to close the fiscal year, the system sees that there is some unposted dpereciaiton for 2007.

Now that FI has already been closed for 2007, we are not able to post depreciation for 2007.

when we run AFAB it errors out

My question is , is there a work around without opening FI and posting depreiciation to close 2007.

Any clarification is appreciated.

thank you,

yes, the best workaround is TO CLOSE THE FISCAL YEAR in time!!!

In the current situation you have no standard workaround. The only solution would be to manipulate 2007 depreciation values. I think the correction report of note 29694 helps you out. But for future purposes, CLOSE THE YEAR in time!!
