Hi,

Wanted to know the extend to which I can utilize CATS_appr_lite transaction, to approve working times for CATS. Is it possible to run this program as a job, with a variant to prevent manual intervention while approving records? anyone has experience?

CATS_APPR_LITE could be set as an autosys job with a variant.

My question is what would be the criteria for approving time or rejecting time ?

Do you need all the time which is entered in CATS to be approved ?

Yes, suppose i want all time for the current month to get approved, is it possible to set it up such that no user has to do the same?

Yes you do that.Set the values required and save as variant and this could be run as a scheduled job.

Make sure the report goes to some employee who could act on the rejected data.

Can you tell me how to do it? i can set variants for the selection screen, but the scren that follows we need to select a record/or all records and press a button for approving...how do u set a variant for that!?

in the same transaction cats_appr_lite, fill all your data and then from menu bar>choose GOTO>VARIANTS>SAVE AS VARIANTS. after that

-select the saved variant,

- from menu bar choose Program>execute in background which will take you to another screen where you --provide printer settings, choose the option and then click green tick mark>which will then bring you to a --screen where you can choose date and time option etc provide data and save..
