PLANNED ORDER REF TO A SALES ORDER

Hi

I plan for a particular finished product and enter the PIR's for the finished product, and then I run MRP and as a result of my requirements Planned orders are created...When the sale order arrives I want this sale order to consume the panned order and the planned order should also reflect the sale order number...How do i achieve this.

Thanks and regards

Sri

    Hi,

Your reqt can be addressed using the MTS planning strategy (40).

A small correction in your query :

When the sale order arrives system will consume the PIR and not the planned order.

As suggested by Vivek try using the Ind/ Collective Indicator in MRP 4 view of Materials master.

      Hi Nair,

Sale order will only consume PIR and not the planned order. Planned orders are to be converted to Production / Process order and process the same to make GR and then inturn delivered the same to the customer agaisnt the sale orders.

Once you use the MTO strategy system will shown the sale order details in Process order too.

Note : You query of sale order consume the planned order is not correct. If it consume how will you produce the items to meet the customer reqt.

      Hope it will help you.

      regards

    Hi Srirag,

In Mtl Master maintain strategy group as 40 (MRP-3 view), Indv/ Coll. indicator as 1 (MRP-4 view).

Once the sales order is placed, the indp. req will become cust. req. the same will be seen in MD04.

When you check the pegging, it will show the sales order

    If helpful award points

    Regards,

    Vivek

    Hi,

If your planned order should contain the sales order number, means you need to run MRP against the sales order and its item number, then only the linkage between planned order and sales order will happen, otherwise it is not possible to have the sales order number in planned order.

    HI

if u use 40 startegy ,u will not get the details withe referece to the sales order because 40 is make stock strategy when u use make to order strategy only ,u will get details,in 40 strategy ,PIR will be consumed by slaes order.
