number ranges for materila master

Hi Guru,

Thank you very much for quick response.

Scenario: 5 company codes under 1 client

My point is that I what identify the material with same material no. in all company codes.

for that purpose Material types/Account Cat. Ref./Valuation class is going to be same in all company codes or different.

Number ranges for a material type are maintained at client level.

As you need the same material number for 5 different company codes, you have to maintain only one number range for the given material type.

For your information the number range for the material are based on material type not on company code basis.

So for you no need to do ant change in number range assignment for other company codes.
