can we ARCHIVE the old data

Hi to all,

here i want to know i am using ECC 6.0 with windows 2003 and orcale 10g.

we are using sap last three years 2006,2007,2008.ok

now what i want to do ...i want to archive old data menas

if data is two years old then it can not be fetched in current.

can i do it with ARCHIVEING the data.....

if yes then how can i perform it.
