Error while changing the CoA

Hi,

I created a new company code by copying existing company code. Now when I am trying to change the Chart of Accounts I am getting an error message - Reset company code data before changing the chart of accounts.

Please advice how can I fix the same.

Have u posted any transactional data in company code. then u need to delete the same using OBR1 trxn code and try.

The COA is not getting deleted bcoz u have the posting figures in the GL account for the relevant company code. These are the rtransactional data. You can delete them but you need to be doubly sure before proceeding as this might lead to repurcussions in other modules/area.

Pls be sure before doing this.

Here, reset means - there should not be any master data / transacton data which is a company code dependent - that means, if you have already posted transaction data for that then delet that data using the TCODE: OBR1 - after deleting the transaction data delete the master data which is created at company code level (it can be any master - customer / vendor / GL)

Hi,

Still Transaction Data exist for that company code. First of all you will have to reset the transaction data via OBR1 and then try again.
