    Thanks Phaneendra,

With AS08 number ranges are identified.

But in AS08 there is no indication of asset class I think we assign number ranges to asset class when we create asset class.

    Regards

    Aly

    Hi,

In the asset class, you can specify the number range for the assignment

of numbers for that asset class. To keep administration needed for the

number assignment to a minimum, you should use number ranges with

internal assignment. You can enter asset numbers of unique and special

significance in the master data field "inventory number." Using the

relevant customer enhancement project you can use these numbers as asset

keys in standard reports (see the SAP library FI-AA: User

    Modifications).

    Hello,

Generally, Internal number ranges are used for Assets why because, asset numbers are unique and special control parameter "Inventory No." in asset master data. You can also use External No. range assignement but asset numbers are not in unique. To create no ranges use TC: AS08

    Thanks

      Hi

After creation of number ranges in AS08.

Use tcode OAOA and assign the number range interval which u have created and assign it to the respective asset class as requested by business.
