Stock transfer between storage location

Hi Experts,

In my project there is no manufacturing plant,but stocks are kept al different location in india.there is scenario of stock transfer between location.can anu body tell me the best scenario which fits for this transfer and the this transaction should have the document proofs means it is not a one step transfer.

Dear Vikram,

You can follw this following process for Stock Transfer between Depots (locations):

Material should exist in both the plants (Delivering & Ordering),

Internal customer should be assigned to the ordering plant ( MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Setup stock transport order -> assign the internal customer to the ordering plant and assign the Sales area of the internal customer)

T-code : OMGN

Assign its Sales area to the delivering plant

Assign the document type and Delivery type NB and NLCC

Assign the Supplying plant --> Receiving Plant --> NB

Take the delivering plant and assign the sales area.

Vendor master has to be created and assign the supply source ( Delivering Plant).

Create a purchase order ME21N (Purchasing Document type UB)---> Save

Delivery - VL10 B ---> Calculation rule (appropriate) --> Assign the purchase order number here and execute.

Select the Delivery creation line and do the back ground process.

Start the log display and see the delivery document number by the documents button

Go to VL02N --> do picking and PGI --> Then do the MIGO with respect to the delivery document.

Subsequently yopu can also issue stock transfer Invoice (which is treated as Proforma Invoice & not posted in accounts) for records or to be given with vehicle.

Stock Transfer between Storage Locations

u2022 Function of stock transport orders between storage locations is available from ECC 6.0 onwards.

u2022 As a result of which user can input issuing storage location with supplying plant.

u2022 Facility of using different delivery types for different issuing storage locations is available.

u2022 Shipping Point data can also be determined based on the issuing storage location.

Hi Vikram,

Stock transfer between storage location is only possible by one step transfer and that is movement type 311.

To achieve this requirement you would have created all locations as a Plant.
