Roll back from ETL model BI7.0 to 3.x

Hi Gurus,

I converted ETL model from 3.x to 7.0. For update rules i created one transformation, new infosource and one transformation instead of tranfer rules & transfer structure and finally migrated datasource to 7.0 with export.

Here the standard rotines are not populating the data for some fields which are with this standard rotines.

my question is:

Is it possible to roll back this ETL model from BI7.0 into 3.x? if possible can u pls provide me the steps.

Regards,

Sridhar.

    Hi Sridhar

Use the RSDS tcode...give ur datasource name and in the Datasource menu option there is Recover 3.x Datasource option which will recover ur 3.x datasource.

    Hope this helps

If you had used "with export" option while migrating then yes you can revert back.

    RSDS

    ctrlshiftF4

    or

    Datasource -

    >restore 3.X datasource.

    Hi

All the Routines may not be migrated to BI 7.0. You have to copy / paste the same from existing Transfer/update rules to the Transformation Rule details.

You can always use the old version(rsa1old) of the same by deleting the Transformation and RSA2 use the 3.x Data Source. Reactivate the Transfer/update Rules if needed.(If not possible like this overwrite the same by installing the BC again)

    Hope it helps and clear
