How to delete set status value for BP

Dear CRM Experts,

I would like to delete the set status value to BP. For instance, I have created one BP and assigned status value in the status tab. Later I realized that dont want to use those status value. I tried to delete the set status value, but system saying "User Status XXXX must not be deleted".

Your solution and help is highly appreciated.

Hi Mahesh,

This is the message class defined by the system. I f you want to delete it you have to modify the message class. Go to SE91. Give teh message class BS, click on change and maintain in logon language. Go to message 036. you will get this message. Tell your abaper to delete the message or modify the message. I think then you can do it. Hope this will help you.

Your solution is useful to change the custom message given by system, when we try to delete Status value.

But my requirement is to delete the set status value from the BP.

Hi Mahesh,

Yes I got your point. We can change only the status of BP but we can delete it if we have assign the value there. Even if you want to delete the BP status then take the help of ABAPer to delete it. I think they will create the custom message for this the work flow will set to this BP status. Because behind this some program is running.
