Crystal Report generation error

Former Member

I'm unable to generate 3 of my crystal reports and am getting this error message:

"14c85878ad5f2146.pdf File is too large for attachment."

The rest of the reports are generated successfully though.

Has anybody encountered this error before?

Any help/response would be very much appreciated...thanks!

Hello Gregorio,

maybe its one ofthe following:

1. The .pdf is getting bigger than 2 GB. 2GB is the max. Filesize of a 32bit Windows OS. How big is the .rpt file of your Report when it is stored with Data on your File System ?

2. Do you want to E-Mail the .pdf directly ? Maybe its to big for your Mailserver. This could be due to restrictions on your Mailserver.

Thanks, Seb. No, I'm not e-mailing the file.

Let me find a way to find out the size of the file with data.

I'll keep you posted.

However, if it turns out that I'm exceeding the 2GB limit, is there a way to increase this maximum limit in Windows?

Hi Gregorio,

no - this is not possible. Thats a physicall limitation of a 32bit Operating System. 2GB is max.

2 GB for a Report is a way to much. Try to decrease the Amount of your Data with f.e. Filters or Prompts.

Regards

-Seb.
