GUI 7.10 NWSAPsetup.exe terminates immediately wit...

We pushed out SAPGUI 710 via SMS to nearly 2,000 terminals but some had problems. All terminals are running Windows XP, nothing else special. To fix the errors, we uninstall the frontend and reinstall. This worked in 90% of cases. In others, the GUI simply won't reinstall. We get the following log entry:

please check the service "Remote Registry" on the Client MAFNS160251

The service " remote Registry " must Running.

Can you tell me the message number in the OSS, which you have opene`?

Yes, DOT NET 1.1 and 2.0 are installed on all the problem computers.

I will try to open an OSS problem ticket but have to get corporate approval first and that generally takes several days.
