Automate pdf producing

Hi,

I must monthly produce a great number of pdf starting from a WebI report.

These PDF are distincts regarding with prompt filling.

How could I automate the generation of these pdf?

Hi Bertrand,

If you are looking to schedule the report to pdf, with different prompt values for each run then you would have to look at doing something in the sdk.

If you have to run the report 10 times with different prompt values you could configure it in a publication, providing you are on XI 3.0 or higher.

Thanks for your answer, I still have some questions for you.

I have about 50 pdf to do each month and some criterias such as Posting period are disctints from one period to another. Is it possible to manage this?

Could you give me links for any documentation on this purpose?

Hi Bertrand,

I think you will have to do this using the SDK rather than publication will be a requirement.

Hi Bertrand,

The SDK is not a tool, but provides access to the workings of Business Objects, so you can get at it programatically through Java or .NET

Have a look here for some samples with the Enterprise SDK.
