number ranges for materila master

Hi Gurus,

In our scenario, we have 4 company codes. I want to maintain the same material no. in every company code. is it possible? if so, can you explain.

Hi

Material numbers (groups with series) are assigned to material types and we create materials in plants. So you can maintain same number for same material in different plants of company codes. check in MMNR tcode.

Hi

Number of the material is assigned as the "Material Type level" so, you have no problem.

It doesn't depend on the company code.

Use MMNR tcode to define number range.
