Hi Friends,
Going to integrate EP 7.1 with SRM ,CRM ,MI and PI.
I am quite new to integration of portal with these.Just learnt about Portal and BI integration.
What about integration with SRM and CRM .Do we need Busines packages for these?
And what is the porcess for MI and PI?
Please let me know some important documentation and process about this .
Hope to get help on integration scenarios of portal to these applications.
Regards
Ajay
We can deploy the WebDynpro component of lower release for MSS.

Hi All
Is anybody is aware which are the files need to be deployed for ERP 6.0 ehp3.
I have deployed these below files for ESS and MSS.
1).Support Packages and Patches" SAP Application Components" SAP ERP" SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE" SAP ENH PACK 3 FOR SAP ERP 6.0" Entry by Component" Portal Content->BP ERP05
ESS SP02
2).Support Packages and Patches" SAP Application Components" SAP ERP" SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE" SAP ENH PACK 3 FOR SAP ERP 6.0" Entry by Component" Portal Content-> BP ERPMSS SP02
And then
Support Packages and Patches" SAP Application Components" SAP ERP" SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE" SAP ENH PACK 3 FOR SAP ERP 6.0" Entry by Component"->XSS
Under XSS I found only files for WebDynpro Content and ESS.
SAPESS02_0-20002355.zip and SAPPCUIGP03_0-20002356.SCA.
There was no file for MSS.
It seesm that some of the application are missing for MSS.
Anybody aware that what needs to be deployed apart from above these.
Pls let me know.

Thanks for the interest.
Yes I do understand that.SLD is configured there and its sending data to PI (XI 7.1) system.
But I need to create Jco destination in Portal ,the Jco destinations will automatically appear after deploying the content (BP).
But when creating Jco in Portal for ECC 6.0 system ,getting the error that no connection to SLD.
And the SLD url there coming is of Portal ,where as the central SLD is on Xi system.
So how to resolve this issue.
Meanwhile SLD on Portal is running fine as well as on XI and in XI I am getting Portal and ECC systems under technical systems there.
Not sure how to proceed further.

Hi,
Have you done configuration in Visual Admin??
Under Server node- select the u201CServicesu201D
Under Services: select the subnode: SLD Data Suplier
Click on u201CHTTP Settingsu201D tab, and make sure the entries present are correct (or just re-enter the parameters) and click on u201CSaveu201D
Once you have saved the entries in the two tabs, come back to Information tab and click on the icon to triggers the data transfer (entries) to SLD and if the entries are correct the Send Result status will be u201CSuccessu201D

Hi All
While configuring Jco destinations at this Url
http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcwdtools/Explorer
,all options to create and maintain Jco destination are disabled.
But ,when tried to check Connection check for sld ,I got error that not connected to SLD.
The sld url there is htt://host:pot/sld ,which is Portal System ,whereas the central SLD is PI.
Can anybody tell why the sld url is that of portal where as it should point to PI system.
We have just configured the Data suppliers on Portal and central SLD is running fine.

WhenI am trying to create Jco destinations ,the option to do so in not enable ,rather I am getting something like create new Jco destination.
The Jco destinations for SAP_R3* etc are not editable when opening the link
http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcwdtools/Explorer
Also ,when navigating to System defined Content->Jco destinations ,getting erro that no SLD defined.
We are using Central SLD on PI system .
Please suggest.

Regards,
Niraj
Thanks .
I have downloaded the appropriate files now.
After this ,I want to know ,whether I need to configure local SLD.
In our case ,we have a central SLD as PI system and EP and ERP systems are both available on the central SLD.
Is this fine or need to configure on portal as well.

Ajay

Hi ,
Well , I found that ERP 6.0 itslef has a portal which is accessible like hostname:port/irj/poprtal.
Also ESS and MSS components were present in the ERP 6.0 system.
Question
1).Cann't we configure EP for ESS without BP for ESS/MSS as ERP has these conponents already?
2).What about the version to downlod ,if we have ERP 6.0 with these version of ess/mss components
BP_ERP5MSS 1.31 SP0
BP_ERP5MSS 1.31 SP0
Will ESS/MSS of this version will work:
=>BP ERP05 MSS 1.0 Support Package 14
=>BP ERP05 ESS 1.0 Support Package 14

Hi,
1) You need to have business packages deployed on portal to implement ESS/MSS.
2) Regarding version compatibility with ERP and business package you can have a look at this link:

Hi Ajay,
First up, there isn't a version called EP 7.1 - perhaps you mean EP 7.0 EhP1?
As for integration, SAP has lots of good documentation under the title 'Uniform Content Access'.
For a starter, try http://help.sap.com/SAPHELP_NW04S/helpdata/EN/14/067d4242e66255e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
You don't have to use Business Packages at all - you could integrate the BSP/WD's from SRM and CRM using the appropriate iView template. However, importing these Business Packages means you already have some content available that you can choose to use / not use as appropriate.
As for PI integration... in 14 years, i've never had a business requirement to integrate this (or XI, or Business Connector, or...all other previous names!)
Cheers,
Kevin
