hi,
i am new to sd pricing...can any1 plz tell me the difference between mwsi and mwst...on documents both are 16%.....how can i view what these conditions actually calculate the value.?
Hi
MWST is the standard TAX codition type where we maintain condition records with calculation type as A that is % for which we maintain condition records in VK11
MWSI is a tax condition type which has the reference condition type as MWST which is defined in its details(master data tab)
This means no need to maintain condition record for MWSI in VK11
Whatever you maintain for MWST will be valid for MWSI or whenever you put MWSI or whenever MWSI falls then MWST is referred
But the calculation type for MWSI is H that is % included
This makes the major difference
This means if 16 % is the tax and the doc value is Rs1000 then with MWST it will be 1000+16%=1160 will be the final value
But with MWSI this Rs1000 is inclusive of 16 % the nett value will be 862 +16% tax which will make Rs1000
Both has a different impact on nett value and gross value
With MWST nett will be 1000 +16% tax so total is 1160
With MWSI nett will be 862 +16% tax so total is 1000
AS both has different impacts MWSI is used for reverse calculation where we are arriving base price from MRP(maximum retail price) and MWST is used for forward calculation
To understand this very well you have test first with MWST in your PP and then remove MWST and put MWSI in your PP and see what is the changes
No need to maintain condition records in VK11 for MWSI and if try to maintain system will throw a message that this condition tytpe has a reference condition type etc

Hi
MWST and MWSI both are tax condition types .
MWST tax condition type is used in one pricing procedure
MWSI is used in another pricing procedure
