SMSY: Newer Version Exists in Solman 7

Hi,

I Have a SolMan 7 system on SP15 and it seems that SMSY is not updating data correctly. I had an old 4.6C R3 server system registered and it was sending data to SLD from rz70. It was later upgraded to ECC6 and when data is sent to SLD it gets registered version 700 (<host>:5xx00/sld). SMSY has been setup to update itself from SLD but it gets registered as a 4.6C R3 server system where as i thought it would have been picked up as a ECC6 system.

What i did was:

1. completely delete the system from SMSY, logical components etc

2. trigger rz70 to send up to date info to SLD

3. in SolMan run landscape fetch job and let SMSY update

4. checked SMSY and it comes up with a yellow exclamation box next to it saying "Newer Version Exists".

I redone the steps above but still its comes into SMSY as a R/3 server.

Any suggestions as i have searched OSS notes for a long time but there is nothing.

Thanks,

Mani
