variables in IP

Hi gurus,

I need to craeate a variables in integrated planning.

Reuirement is as follows

In the planning sequence SPP1-PS01(MRP PLANNING) there are variables for fiscal year and brand.

I need to create those two variables and add them to planning sequence MSPP1_PS01(SALES PLANNING)

will some one help me how to create variables and at what level, <removed by moderator>.

Variables can be created in planning modeler. The planning sequence will contain set of planning functions associated with filters. Go to those filters in the filter section in modeler, click on input help button next to fiscal year, in the "View" dropdown, you can see the option variables. Choose the Selection dropdown as well based on what kind of variable you want to create. Select that, you can see "Create" button. You can continue creating variable for brand also in the same way.

I have folowes what you have told selected the filter option gave the tecnical name of the filter but it is not allowing me to change anything over there please give me your id so that i can send you the screen shot.

Go the transport connection in RSA1, choose query elements -> filter, drag and drop the filter right side and create a transport request. If the filter is locked in any TR, then only system allows to change the filter.

I have done accordingly to you now i need to transport this to production, i need to transport only this filter or anythin else please sugest me accordingly.

You need to transport only the filter, but make sure that the newly created variables are also present in the same TR, some times they will be assigned as local objects. You can observe this in transport connection.

I hane transported only the filter ans taken care that they are not assigned as a local objects but i got the error as follows.I have selected only necessary objects as option and selected thhe new variables added and transported.
