In time management..is CATS n ESS are corelated? what is the funda for CATS..n which case they are used?if iam wrong do rectify plz.

Hi Vinita,

The SAP R/3 cross application time sheet (CATS) is a standardized, cross- application tool provided by SAP R/3 for recording the times. Here we can store time against the activities done in the PS, PM etc and transfer the costs for the activities to CO.

ESS is employee self Service.The Employee Self-Service Portal (EP-ESS) Benchmark is part of the SAP Standard Application Benchmark suite for SAP NetWeaver Portal.

Hi

CATS is a Cross application and this is used to enter time for the employees.

This CATS can be used in variuos environments and in various types.

CATS can be used in ESS for the employee to login to his ESS and enter times in CATS.
