Error in MAIN_NEWBAS/STOPSAP_FINAL during EHP8 upgrade

Hi,

We are performing EHP7-EHP8 upgrade of ECC system. Currently system is in execution phase and SUM is not able to stop the mandatory instance and stuck in MAIN_NEWBAS/STOPSAP_FINAL phase.

Severe error(s) occurred in phase MAIN_NEWBAS/STOPSAP_FINAL!

Last error code set: Process /usr/sap/SID/Instance/exe/sapcontrol exited with 2

Upon further checking I found below error in dev_disp file from instance work directory:

Can anyone please help me with this.

We need to know what sapcontrol command was executed (I mean, with which arguments) and what was the result / output.

Providing the SUM traces requested by Hemanth will help us to check that ;).

Hi Anuja,

I doubt this is the actual reason for the issue. The dev_disp error just means that a wrong request originates from address 127.0.0.1.

Perhaps niping (like below) might help:
niping -v -H 127.0.0.1.

For the SUM issue, please attach the SUM traces (SUM\abap\log\..)
