Identify System/Client for BDLS run

Hi,

Which columns we can check in EDIDC table to find out the systems/clients that are need to be converted using BDLS?

I'm sure the table is EDIDC control table of IDOC where we can identify which are the systems that are required (qualify) for BDLS run.

Kindly help

Hi Gopi,

BDLS is run for logical system conversion (typically after a system copy or client copy) so that all data referenced by logical system names are corrected.

Even though EDIDC (idocs) have data which reference logical systems (Partner profiles of type LS), I suggest you do not take this as a reference point.

I would suggest you use the source of the system/client copy & the target to run BDLS. In BDLS, use the logical system name of the source client (this can be checked in SCC4 for assignment) as old logical system name and give the local (target) logical system name (that is created in SALE) as the new logical system.

You can do a test run and see if everything is ok.

Hi,

That is the standard way of doing BDLS run. But my requirement is to identify the systems using the sql command with partner system of type 'LS' and execute SQL statements to convert logical sys names.

Any clue?

You could run BDLS in test mode.  It will generate a list of tables AND fields the REAL running of BDLS would touch.  I would NOT recommend changing anything manually.... just my $0.02
