Hi Ssap Gurus,
I have a question about the SAP Absence quota.
Our client has a requirement that we have sick leave of 72 hours per year . But it is accrued daily at a rate of 0.1972... . Is there any way to configure that employee is allowed to take 72 hours at any point of time even if he does not accrue that much till the end of the year. And the absence will become positive only when he accrues what he had used till then.
Thanks,
Leela.
Hi,
yep, can be done.
Question: Do you generate the entitlements via Time Evaluation.
If yes, two main options:
- Run your time eval for the complete calendar year. This way the total quota for the year is calculated and awarded.
- build an additional PCR which calculates the remaining accrual for sick leave only for the calendar year and have this added to the already calculated sick leave.
A bit fuzy maybe but these options definitely work.

Leela,
I don't think that the 2nd option works here.Whenever you record an absence system looks for quota available in the IT 2006 and will not allow if there is enough quota.
If you dont like to run TE at the begening of the year, you can generate quota by running RPTQTA program. But for this you have to configure quota such that it is generated manually.
Other wise in the quota settings you can give the negative deduction, but I don't this is a good idea because if you give for ex say -72 then if employee has 10 hrs as available quota then he could record up to 82 hours which is wrong.
So think about the 1 st option of giving the whole quota on Jan1 with program if not with TE.
Hi.. To add to my reply, please do not bother with Time evaluation or customizing. This is a standard facility available. You can look for the negative deduction node in spro and configure the table. That would help
