Hi

Some more information.

The B2C allows self registration of a user with an email address

So that when a customer comes back previous shopping details and orders can be recalled.

In the B2B self registration is not possible and the user is provide by the shop administrator ,this user is linked to a company or a number of companies to which they are contact person for.

B2B is supported with a portal however B2C is not.

I hope that this will be of assistance.

Warm regards.

Hello,

I probably don't have to say that B2B stands for Business 2 Business and B2C for Business 2 Consumer, right

The difference lies in the way the account search screen is constructed and how the system will search for accounts.

B2C

The search screen will be oriented on Person (physical person) search, so you'll have fields like Firstname, Lastname, ... When searching for accounts SAP will only return Business Partner of the type "Person" with the exclusion of business partners with role "Employee".

B2B

The search screen will be oriented on Organizations (legal persons) search, so you'll have fields like Name1, Name2. By setting the flag 'Contact Person search' this search screen allows you to identify Organizations by their contact persons. When searching SAP will only return Business Partners of the type "Organization" (eventually with the associated contact person).

The scenario (B2C/B2B) is controlled in the WebClient by the so-called Account Identification Profile.

Hope this helps,

Kind regards,

Joost
