Sequence of SRM archiving for work flow data

Hi SRM dvm experts,

I have a requirement that to do data archiving for customer SRM system including workflow data, but I am sure if there are any relationship between SRM workflow data(workitems) and ERP workflow data(workitems) and when should be archived first.

Please suggest.

Please check the following KBA about workflow data archiving in SAP SRM:

2594613 - Workflow data archiving in SAP SRM

In SRM, the workflow data are archived along with the business documents. The standard SRM archiving procedure makes sure, that workflow data related to the SRM business document are also archived.

In SAP SRM, it is not allowed to archive the workitems separately from the business document. If SRM related workflow data are archived and deleted, the SRM system cannot find the workflow data any more. For this reason, SRM starts the workflow again and this way the business document becomes inconsistent.
