Problem with ESS Leave Rule

Hi Gurus,

Some help needed in ESS.

The scenario at our client's site is a leave rule - "CL cannot be clubbed with a National Holiday" that is working fine when executed from pa30-> IT2001 i.e. when we manually try to create through pa30 the leave cannot be created. It has been implemented through a USER EXIT.

However when a leave is applied through ESS the system not only allows us to create the record but also allows us to approve the record, following which the record is posted / created in R/3 which is completely wrong.

I can see that

1. The User Exit is working fine with SAP R/3

2. A BADI "PT_ABS_REQ" is active.

Thanks and Regards,

Ankit Sengupta

    hi

In ESS , the system will not check that particulat badi as if you using ECC 6. and New version of ESS on Portal 7 , the system using different web dynpro program to run on the portal side, you may have to write your Badi code in the webdynpro application and then deploy the application back to the system.

you have to implement the same check in BaDi CL_PT_ARQ_REQ method POST_VIA_BLOP, no need to change the WebDynrpo
