Web push notification??? - Hybris Marketing

Dear friends,

We are having one requirement in hybris marketing

Web push notification??? in Hybris Marketing?

It works like that: Visitor visits the web shop which ask for permission for push notification. Than the marketing software sends push notifications to the browser with promo messages.

Can any one help me on this how to do this in hybris marketing On premise

Hi,

There is no standard Out of the box functionality for web push notification.

But we did a customer POC where we used push notification API from https://push7.jp/en/ using Open Channel Implementation. Here we used FIrebase as middleware to host the push notification service.

Unfortunately no document as such. But we did via simple Open Channel Implementation and Little bit of JS coding at Firebase side to invoke Push Notification Service.

Note; It was a customer POC hence we did not actually bother about how we will store the broser ID/Cookie. But in ideal case you have consider that unique ID_ORIGIN is used for invoking the service.
