Hi,
I created a new database in PAS and created the model link etc.
I then mapped a cube sucsessfully to the new database (not importing the data, want to use the caching option)
But in DataView in PAS and within the scorecard of Strategy Management no data is being shown. IThe connection to the BW system is sucssessfull.
Am I missing something? I am sure I followed all the steps in 8.3 of the server config guide..
Hi Adriaan,
Did you do all these steps through the BI Connector Administrator tool? I figure that you probably did this, but you are not explicit in the steps that you performed so I wanted to be sure.
If you did use the BI Connector Administrator, then a trace file should have been created which shows the output of the process of mapping the data from BW into the PAS model. By default this would be located in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SSM\Application Server\Home" folder, and would be called BICTRACE_SCHEMA_<MODELNAME>. While this file has no extension, it is a text file and can be easily opened using Notepad.
What I would be interested in is whether any error messages are returned in the log, and whether it appears as though the data is successfully mapped. If that did work correctly, or at least no errors are obviously present, then there are some more steps which could be tried which I can probably pass along.
Thanks and regards,
Robert

hi Adriaan
i could not fully understand your problem. i think you have connected to the cube but didnt extract the data. to extract the data when using PAS u need to use the command
Import schema or
import schema force.
u can selectively import the required dimensions and measures for the cube by importing them. the commands for these are available in the help.
hope this solves your problem
Vijay
