same inspection lot no. is being assigned to different GR (any OSS)

Hi All,

same inspection lot no. is getting generated for different GR. As per my knowledge its impossible but it is happening. i think this is because of buffering time and may be at the time of saving the GR transaction, table is not getting updated properly. need inputs on the same.

do we have any OSS notes to be implemented to resolve this issue??

we are using 4.6 c version of SAP.

Hi Vijay,

Check the ContInsLot field in Qm view. u need to select the inspection set up in QM view to modify the field. here the inspection lot generation may have been set up

for material,batch and storage location

and you are doing GR against the same batch and SLoc.

for each order item, batch and storage loc

and you are doing GR as above.

you can select for each material document to avoid this.

Hi Vishal,

Same lot no. assignment to diffrnt GR is not happening evrytime. Generally its working properly but sometimes it is behaving in this manner. this is what make me to think like data is not getting updated properly. so we may need to apply some patches or OSS notes to solve it.
