HI
My client had to do one JE for Dec 31 2007 but the YEC was already ran.
My understanding is if you add another entry you can run YEC again.
Well, I did it and it closed all the Accounts again not only the Accounts affected as I have seen it before.
Version 2007 A PL 42.
I assume I must only check the affected Accounts since it does not look like SAP checks for that.
Thanks
Yes, a few years agao I ran it with another client twice and it only showed the Accounts being affected and zeroed them out again. Please check with Development. I just upgraded this client to 2007- not knowing there is issues.
Thanks Gordon

Hi,
Did you check whether the Year End Closing was done for complete year or for part of the year.
If you check the G\L Account you will get to see that the remarks for the first YEC entry and then check the remarks for the second YEC entry in the account. Can you check what period it states?
If it is different, it is possible that the YEC is done twice for different periods.
You can also check by restoring the Copy of the Database on Test Enviorment and check the year end closing for the complete year and then enter the JE and then try to close again.
Hope the information helps your case.
Regards,
Jitin

In your case, the best answer would be log to SAP support. This might be beyond forum capability.

Have you run second YEC in 2005 version before? Does the result meet your expectation?

If you run YEC the second time it reverses the first YEC out - full amount and the balance is carried over not zerod out. Even the accounts with no postings.
I am wondering if there is an error in 2007

It needs to zero out the affected P&L accounts again.
P&L Accounts carry over a zero balance to the new year

Hi,
Your question is not very clear. If you do the second YEC, what do you expect?
Thanks,
Gordon
