Hi SDNites,

I am working on establishing connectivity from 3rd party to SAP PI using SOAP over HTTPS with Client authentication. I have tried most of the available blogs but the issue of "Client certificate required" is not getting resolved.

Can you please let me know your inputs,

1. I have created the private key and certifciate in NWA.

2. Send the private key to CA by downloading it using Generate CSR request.

3. Got it signed from CA

4. Import the certificate using Import CSR Response

5. The same certificate is also uploaded in STRUST

6. User mapping of the public key certificate on Service user.

7. Testing done via SOAP UI. (Here I have tested without uploading Private Key certificate in SOAP UI and also with uploading it and in both the scenarios, I am getting the error as "Client certificate required".

Any guidance on the above will be highly appreciated.

Hi Abhishek,

I think since SAP PI is receiving message from third party system, you should just ask your 3rd party to provide their public certificates and then Import it into your keystore.

The steps that you have mentioned is for communication to Third party from SAP PI.
