HI,
We have following scenario
1) We should be able to view report in ASP.NEt in the form of PDF We are using Visual Studio 2008 and NET framework 3.0
2) We should be able to schedule report quarterly/annually for all the clients and send emails to them.
We are trying to figure out which BO set up we should use
1) Embedded Crystal report with NET 2008: This option does not work for us because of 3 concurrent user and inability to schedule
2) Crystal Reports Server 2008
3) We already Have set up for BO XI R2, but it does not support NET 3.0. Should we upgrade it to BO XI 3.1 which supports NET 3.0 and also have all the scheduling capabilities.
4) When I researched on the web I could not see why Crystal reports server is different than BO XI R3 Or why we can use one over the other.
Thanks
regards
Amol

True
2) Crystal Reports Server 2008 -
There is no .NET SDK for it currently and I am not sure when it will be released.
3) We already Have set up for BO XI R2, but it does not support NET 3.0. Should we upgrade it to BO XI 3.1 which supports NET 3.0 and also have all the scheduling capabilities.
If you want to use VS.NET 2008 then yes.
4) When I researched on the web I could not see why Crystal reports server is different than BO XI R3 Or why we can use one over the other.
Currently if you want to use .NET then you have to use BOE XI R3.1

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the reply.
I did get the answers ...but few more questions popped out..
I did talk with our infrastructure guys who told me that they won;t be doing any update to BO XI R2 SP4 current server till last quarter of 2009.
So we can not use XI 3.1
So we are stuck with following situation
1) Web application done in ASP.NET 2008
2) NET framework 3.0
3) BO XI R2 SP4
Is there any way we can run reports from our application. Somebody was suggesesting OpenDocument.
I did some research but not sure if we can use it
1) Can we use OpenDocument.aspx
2) Any way to interact from ASP.NET 2008 to BO XI R2 SP4.
Thanks
Regards
