Hi Basu,

There are 2 types of status profiles - System & User

The system status profile is set by the system, based on the transactions performed.

The initial state is CRTD & once released will have REL. In addition to these there are several statuses (Eg: GMPS, TECO, CLSD, DLFL, DLT, SETC etc).

User status is for having custom statuses & these need to be defined in BS02.

You can assign these user status profile for production orders in OPJH.

The main reason for these profiles is to give a clear picture to the user the status in which the production order is, something like a snapshot view.

Hope you have some idea now.

If helpful award points

Hi Basu,

In BS02, click on new,

The column Status no. indicates the sequence in which you want your custom status to follow, so sequence them as 1, 2, 3, etc

In the status colum, you need to give a short description for your custom statuses.

In the short text column, give a clear descritption

In Init status check box colum, check the box for your first status, keep the lowest as 1 & highest as 2.

For the 2nd status follow as above & keep the lowest as 1 & highest as 3.

Now select each status & click on object types: here you select PP/PM header if you want the status profile for order header, the system will show all sub-objects which you can control. Based on your need you can now allow / dis-allow certain transactions

Well in this manner you can build the profile, treat the above as a guideline & if you face any specific issues, post back.

Hi,

Status profile shows the business transactions in the production order. Using this we can restrict the business transactions like with out releasing the production order, we can't issue the goods. Once TECO the order, all open reservations will be deleted. Like this all the controls were controlled using the status profile.

Using BS22 T-code you can change the required settings.
