Hi friends,

we are implementing ppds. in that scenario they have many stock transfers between plants. only for this scenario should we have to implement snp?

when heuristics runs isit possible to create stock transfer requisions in ppds. pls let me know about this. initially it was planned that those products which are subjected to stock transfers will be planned in r3 itself now clients wants it in apo. Pls guide with a solution.

Thanks

Dear vinay,

it is not necessary to implement SNP to get stock transfer requisitions. It is also possible to get them from PPDS MRP run. In R/3 you have to maintain the procurement parameters. For example: material 1 in plant A has procurement type "inhouse production" or "external procurement". In case of a demand in plant B you want to get a stock transfer requisition from plant B to A. In R/3 you have to maintain the material in plant B for external procurement and special procurement type "stock trasfer from plant A". Due to this master data you get a transportation lane from plant A to plant B in APO via CIF (X0 must be set!).

In PP/DS you have to run heuristic SAP_PP_020 for low level code determination. After that run heuristic SAP_MRP_001 for all plants (in my example plant A and B) and you will get the stock stransfer requisitions. Be sure that the correct product heuristic is stored in apo material master.

hi christian

pls tell me whether i should create any transportation lanes between 2 plants.

another thing is stock transfers happen between plants within a company code and as well as also to different plants at different company code level.

pls let me know on this

Thanks

If you want to get stock transfer requisitions between plants it is essential to have transportation lanes between those plants. In case of a demand in your target plant they will be considered as a source of supply and you will get your stock transport requisition. There are two ways to apply the lanes in apo. You can apply them manually in TA /SAPAPO/SCC_TL1. But i would prefer to apply them via CIF from R/3 based on special procurement type. In that case they are applied during CIF tranfer of the material master. The advantage is that if you change your procurement types in R/3 the transportation lane in APO will change automatically. Those automatically applied lanes will get creation indicator 'S' (special procurement).

Please note that if you have any valid manually applied lanes for the same product-source-destination combination the lanes with creation indicator 'S' will not be considered!!

hope this solves your question...

Hi Vinay,

It should be XO.

Hi vinay,

Normally stock transfers will get generated as a result if we run Deployment followed by TLB in SNP. The results will be sent across to R/3.

If you want to carry out stock transfers for only few items, send those items alone to APO from R/3, get the lanes maintained and run heuristic to get PRs followed by Dep & TLb to get stock transfers.

Hope this solution will works for you.

Please confirm
