HI Tinku,

The organizational key is made up of a 14-character field. You can determine the structure of this yourself.

You can use all the elements of the organizational structure (all the fields in the infotype Organizational Assignment 0001) to define the organizational key. To enable you to do this, you can choose from fields that are shown, such as 'company code', 'employee group', 'organizational unit', 'administrator group', as well as from the hidden fields 'formatted employee name' (for example Dr. Fritz Meier) and 'employee name for sorting' (for example MEIER FRITZ). As before, specific control tables and rules tables are also provided for you.

The organizational key is part of the authorization check in the HR Human Resources) module, this means you can revise the authorization check by using the organizational key.

Mainly this is used in authorizations .

if you dont det up VDSK system will take Personnel Area as default VDSK1.

Regards,

Kapil

hey tinku,

excuses for late reply, hope it is useful.

IMG  PM  PA  Org Data  Org Assignment  Set up Org key. u will find four nodes ,

Select org key creation rules.

For a wholesome org key for all ees this is only step u need to configure.

Use creation rule 01, this will be passed as default from feature vdsk1

Seq no field is sequential field number , numbered as 01, 02

Field name is name of field which u want to get the value from for eg P0001-BTRTL is Personnel

Subarea, P0001-KOSTL is cost center.

Enter field names from F4 list & press enter and length of the fields is filled automatically.

Save it , wallah u r org key is ready to test.

  • Create 0001 and see it for yourself.

Hi Tinku

The organizational key is used for authorization checks.

The organizational key defines the enterprise and personnel structure. You can use it to assign other organizational units to employees.

To configure Organizational Key, go to

SPRO > PM > PA > Organizational Data > Organizational Assignment > Setup Organizational Key

Organizational key: Control: Assign the Validation to the rule you are going to create.

Organizational key: Creation rules: Create the rule according to your requirements. If you want to combine two fields to form the Organizational Key then create the rule with two sequential numbers. For example, WERKS (Personnel Area) and KOSTL (Cost Center) fields can be combined to form the Organizational Key.

Organizational key: Maintain feature VDSK1: Organizational key default values are defined in the feature VDSK1. Change the existing node to the rule you have created to make it the default Organizational Key in IT0001, while hiring.

Hi

You can configure Org key if you want by yourself or else the system by default takes the Personnel area as the org key.
