Upgrade to SP22 and Licensing issue

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our ECC 6.0 from SP9 to SP22. Is the upgrade path a direct to SP22 or is there a pre-requisite patch/level to be applied? Also are they any licensing issues in upgrading to the new support pack. Currently we have about 50 user licenses. Just worried if there may be any licensing issues in upgrading to the new patch level.

Hi,

Please take a look at this note 849887, it references to other notes regarding SP stacks that is the new way SAP recomends to apply SP's. Usually when you want to move up to a new SP level there are pre requisites about other SP's that must be installed before not related to the SP component that you want to get up.

Are you taking about which SP22 ? SAP_BASIS ?

Yes. But I was under the impression that the latest version is SP22. Correct me if I am wrong.

Nope Latest Available SAP_BASIS is SAPKB70018 ( patch 18 ).

You can upgrade to Support Pack there is no licensing issue its part and partial of support cost.
