Optional Parameters in Command

Hi,

I am using CR 11.5.8.826 version.

I have a command with two parameters, and either of one will be entered by the user.

One parameter is employee number and the other is SSN string.

When I give number parameter, the report returns output. But when I enter ssn string parameter the report goes to 'Not responding' mode.

The condition specified in Command is

(EMPLOYEE = {?P_Emp} OR SSN_TEXT = '{?P_Emp_SSN}')

If I run the report separately with only {?P_Emp} like EMPLOYEE = {?P_Emp} in condition it works fine. And if I run the report with only {?P_Emp_SSN} like SSN_TEXT = '{?P_Emp_SSN}' condition it also works fine.

The problem is when I put the OR operator in the condition and specify the {?P_Emp_SSN} parameter, the report does not responds.

The record returned from the report is less than 200, but there are around million records in the table.

Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Thank you.

Regards,

Mohamed
