Export/import of BSP iviews

Hi,

Is there any restrictions on export/import of BSP iviews ?

I have exported/imported BSP iviews from our Dev system to QA System, but when we preview the Page which contained BSP iviews, they display blank page.

Is there any particular iview parameters we need to set?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Chandu

Backend and Portal in different domain caused the issue. Created DNS allias to resolve the issue.

Is the template iView different on Dev and QA?

No. Both uses same template which is part of MSS 60.4. In fact we have exported/imported entire folder from EPD to EPQ.

I wonder if an SAP supplied iView or page template was changed on DEV and then wasn't transported to QA properly. Difficult to see, but may some delta link tracing will show something...

To rule out this issue, we have already tried by creating new page and adding the iviews imported from EPD. But, result was the same. It displayed blank page.

Exporting the iView only exports a pointer to the BSP. Does the BSP work OK in the backend system?

Yes, it does. I can also preview the bsp iview in the portal also. But, when added to a page it is not displaying any data from the backend.

We have further noticed that when we change the height of the iview to FIXED from AUTOMATIC, the data is displayed. This is not the case in our DEV System where height is set to AUTOMATIC and the page is displays the bsp iviews.

Both the systems are on SP17. But, the import of content of BSP iviews were done after we applied SP17 in our QA System.

Any idea why the systems are behaving differently?
