WF triggering event works in DEV but not QAS

Hi all,

I have a WF for Purchase Requisition release which tested fine in DEV which got transported to QAS. In QAS the WF has a send mail where it fails. In SCOT i get 'Cannot be sent: Cannot be sent: Cannot be sent:...' a bunch of times instead of my send mail.

I do have a triggering event ReleaseCode = PM which is configured in SPRO correctly. Also, the error occurs when I create a Purchase req. If I test using SWUS the WF will trigger and send the mail but I also get the 'Cannot be sent: Cannot be sent: Cannot be sent:...' in SCOT as well.

I ran the event trace and I get error 'Check FM with exception'.

This is the Check FM SWB_2_CHECK_FB_START_COND_EVAL

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Mike

You got the answer yourself. Check what the check FM is looking for.

    Hello,

This may or may not be related to your error. The fact that that FM gets mentioned means the workflow has a start condition associated with it - see SWB_COND. The message ''Check FM with exception' can either mean there was a problem evaluating the condition, or that the start condition simply turned out to be False, in which case no workflow would've been triggered.

Either of the above could lead to your mail errors, but I'd start by looking at SWB_COND.

Is it possible to find out more information from the log about the 'Check FM with exception'?

    Hi,

You are absolutely right, I found the error with the triggering event. Thanks
