Dear PP Gurus
In a plant there are different type of machines are there, and it is categorized by their activities.
For example: there are 20 Plastic extrusion machine and 12 Plastic injection machine in a plant.
I have to create 20 work centers in sap or is there any option of creating two work centers as plastic extrusion work center and plastic injection work center, and creating 20 machines under plastic extrusion work center and 12 machines under plastic injection work center.
Kindly give the info to proceed.

Hi,
Based on the scenario, if you want to link each and every Work center individually in a routing based on the product, create 20 work centers for the Plastic extrusion.
If you are splitting your work center and use more than one work center for your processing, Create one Work center for Plastic extrusion and maintain no. of individual capacities=20 by creating each machine as individual capacity.
Hope this helps..

Hi
if a order is working on these 21 m/cs then you conisder this as group and in the capacities mention the individuals as 21.(Plastic extrusion group)
if not each machine works for each order then create them individual work centre(Plastic extrusion each number)
